I was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. I graduated from the University of the Philippines with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. After graduation, I joined a non-profit organization called Chosen Children, which cared for and educated orphaned children with special needs. In 2003, I was recruited to come work with special needs children in El Paso ISD. I later became a generalist teacher (qualified to teach all core subjects 4th through 8th grade) and certified in both special education and gifted and talented (GT) education. After teaching at Hawkins E.S. and Ross M.S., I joined the MacArthur faculty in 2010. I come from a large family with three brothers and three sisters. My interests include travelling, hiking in the mountains, and cooking.
